Bequests
Another way you can help support the Friends of the Animals Inc. trading as Mareeba Animal Refuge is to consider making a gift in your Will. There are various ways that gifts can be made to provide for animals in need, with the most common types of gifts described below.
To make a gift in your Will to the Friends of the Animals Inc. trading as Mareeba Animal Refuge, please provide this or a document of similar wording to your solicitor or legal advisor when amending or preparing your Will. Please ensure that your Will contains the correct wording to make sure that your intentions are carried out.
A percentage of your estate
By including a gift that is a percentage of the total of your estate, this allows your gift to maximise its value, You can provide for any amount up to 100% of your estate.
Wording is:
I Devise and Bequeath to Friends of the Animals Inc trading as Mareeba Animal Refuge (ABN 81 851 524 024) of 35 Hickling Avenue Mareeba Queensland 4880 [insert number here] percent of my estate for the general purposes of the Mareeba Animal Refuge. I declare the receipt of the Mareeba Animal Refuge will be sufficient discharge for my Trustees.
Specific Bequests
A specific gift is a specified dollar amount or particular asset (including property, investments or shares) left to your chosen charity/ies.
